About Taryn
I am Taryn Volpe and I am an expert Primary Learning Specialist and Education Consultant. Throughout my career, I have taken on various leadership roles across the junior, middle and senior school (F-6) and have a range of experience in working with school leadership teams to drive whole-school priorities, plan and lead professional learning and support teachers and leaders to refine and build upon their pedagogical knowledge, teaching practice and leadership capabilities through coaching, mentoring and modeling. Additionally, I have a range of experience in facilitating the implementation of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) across a school. Mathematics and Numeracy is the area of the curriculum that I am most passionate about and most recently I have devoted my career to working with leaders and teachers to develop their knowledge, skills and strategies within key areas, such as the Mathematical Proficiencies, Maths Anxiety and the Numeracy Learning Progressions, as well as the planning and implementation of rich tasks, supported by enabling and extending prompts. Over the years, I have successfully worked with a diverse range of students, teachers and leaders from a range of educational backgrounds and with varying levels of experience and pride myself on my ability to build relational trust and work collaboratively and flexibly with others in a team environment, ensuring that everyone feels supported, heard and valued. I am excited for the opportunity to work with your school leadership team, staff and students to achieve whole-school improvement.
