Kimberly Silva is currently the Mathematics learning area leader of Mount Rowan Secondary College in Ballarat. She continues to lead her team in developing a culture of excellence in the teaching of numeracy and mathematics. Kim is a well-experienced mathematics teacher who has teaching experiences in the Philippines and United States of America. She is also actively involved as a community facilitator of the TEP (Teaching Excellence Program) alumni network. In 2023, Kim became one of the recipients of the Teaching Innovation Fellowship (TIF) of the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Learning. By involving herself in the TIF program, Kim became more reflective of her practice and applied responsive pedagogies to build cultural connections, understanding and empathy with all students.
