Georgia Gouros is a Leading Teacher of Algorithmics (HESS) at the Centre for Higher Education Studies (CHES). She studied at Monash University where she completed a Bachelor of Science, specialising in computer science and applied mathematics, followed by a first career as a software engineer before becoming an educator and an author. Georgia has experience in teaching VCE Mathematics in many face-to-face school settings including online at VSV and has been teaching VCE Algorithmics (HESS) in a hybrid face-to-face and online (hyflex) setting at the CHES school. Georgia has authored a textbook for students and teachers of VCE Algorithmics HESS "An Introduction to Algorithmic Thinking" and has authored the Algorithmic Thinking spreads for the latest series of Oxford Maths 7–10 Australian Curriculum.
