Doug is a story-teller in mathematics education. His role is to work with colleagues to collect and retell stories of success from classrooms. This work involves professional development sessions; working in classrooms to act out stories; and publishing stories, in the main through web sites. The stories are structured around students at all levels learning to work like a mathematician and the teaching craft which fascinates, captivates and absorbs learners. He has been sharing these stories for more than two decades. Most are publicly accessible through Mathematics Centre and many are told in video form through Cube Tube the Mathematics Centre You Tube channel. He has also played a part in developing eTasks, Working Mathematically with Infants, Picture Puzzles and Maths300.
